Welcome to Webs.ie ("we", "us", "our", or the "Studio"). We design, build and operate AI-native websites and digital products from Dublin, Ireland. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with care, transparency and respect.
This Privacy Policy applies to https://webs.ie and all related services and applies to visitors, prospective clients, clients, newsletter subscribers and Website Grant applicants.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Contact information: name, email, business name, phone number.
- Project information: what your business does, goals, website links, materials you share during discovery.
- Communication data: messages, support requests, feedback, meeting notes.
- Application data: information submitted when applying for the monthly Website Grant.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe; we never store card numbers on our servers.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage: IP address, browser, operating system, referral source, pages visited.
- Cookies and similar tech: see our Cookie Policy.
- Analytics: anonymised Google Analytics data, subject to your cookie preferences.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Our hosting and security layer (Cloudflare) for abuse and uptime logs.
- Email infrastructure (SendGrid) for delivery metrics.
- Payment processor (Stripe) for transaction confirmations.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Deliver the service you requested: strategy calls, proposals, design, development, launch, ongoing optimisation.
- Reply to enquiries: quote, schedule, provide information, answer questions.
- Process Website Grant applications: review, shortlist, select, notify winners, decline respectfully.
- Send operational communication: project updates, invoices, receipts, service notices.
- Marketing (only with consent): our monthly dispatch and occasional studio updates.
- Improve the service: aggregate analytics, error monitoring, user research.
- Legal compliance and security: fraud prevention, enforcement of our terms, tax and accounting obligations.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): to provide services you have requested.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): running a sustainable studio, security, analytics.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): for marketing emails, optional cookies and similar tracking.

5. The Live Voice Demo
The demo at webs.ie/ai-demo lets you speak to an AI receptionist in your browser. Because it processes your voice, it is worth setting out separately. Every statement below describes what the code on our server actually does.
- Your microphone audio is relayed through our server to xAI's Grok voice API, which turns it into speech and replies. We do not record the audio, and we do not store the transcript — what you see on screen lives in your browser tab and goes when you close it.
- To keep the demo inside its cost limits we log, for each call: the date, your IP address, when the call started and how many seconds it ran. Every call stops at three minutes; the demo shares a budget of sixty minutes a day, and one connection can start five calls a day.
- If you ask the agent to book a call, it collects a first name, an email address and what you want to talk about. Those three are stored, and the same three are sent to Sebastian on Telegram so he can follow up. The agent is instructed to collect nothing else.
- You can stop at any time by ending the call or refusing microphone access. Refusing does not block anything else on the site; the text concierge answers the same questions.
Your rights in section 8 apply to this data as they do to everything else — email [email protected] to see it or have it deleted.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is necessary with trusted processors who help us operate the studio:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and security.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- SendGrid — transactional email.
- Google Analytics — anonymised site analytics (optional, cookie-gated).
- AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) — to power assistant features; prompts are not used to train foundation models.
We may disclose information if legally required to do so, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Webs.ie, our clients or the public.
7. Data Retention
- Client records: for the duration of our relationship plus 7 years for tax and accounting.
- Enquiries and leads: up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.
- Grant applications: 12 months after the decision.
- Analytics: aggregated data retained for up to 26 months.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission.

9. Security
We apply sensible, modern security practices: TLS in transit, hashed credentials, access controls, least-privilege principles and regular review of our processors. No system is absolutely secure; if a breach occurs that affects your rights, we will notify you and the DPC within 72 hours as required.
10. International Transfers
Some of our processors are located outside the EEA. When that is the case we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and additional safeguards as needed.
11. Children
Our services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, please contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
